This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including your mobile phone number, when you use our services for authentication or secure document delivery.

Anescribe is operated in the United States and governed by applicable United States laws. The service is intended only for adults and is not designed for or directed to individuals under the age of 18. Anescribe does not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 18.

Information We Collect

We collect and store mobile phone numbers for two purposes:

• To deliver One-Time Passcodes (OTPs) for two-factor authentication (2FA).
• To send secure, one-time links for downloading Protected Health Information (PHI), when initiated by an Anescribe user.

We also collect email addresses for account login and identity confirmation. Email addresses are used only to authenticate users and manage their accounts. Anescribe does not sell or share users' email addresses with third parties.

Certain methods may be available to avoid entry or sharing of a mobile phone number. These may include, but are not limited to, use of authenticator applications, use of biometric authentication (such as Face ID or fingerprint recognition), or installation of the Anescribe mobile application for use in conjunction with supported devices such as tablets. Users must have these features enabled on their own devices in order to use them with Anescribe. These features must remain enabled at all times while using Anescribe in order to avoid entering a mobile phone number.

How We Use Your Information

For Authentication:

• Your phone number is used solely to deliver OTPs for login verification.
• After 2FA is enabled, you may switch to an authenticator app instead of receiving SMS messages.

For Secure PHI Delivery via SMS:

• Anescribe users may enter or import mobile numbers of individuals they are authorized to contact.
• These numbers are stored only in the user's private contact list for future HIPAA-compliant document sharing and audit logging.
• When used, the system sends one-time secure download links via SMS.
• Recipients may reply STOP to permanently opt out of future messages.

Opt-Out Options

For 2FA Messages:

• You may opt out of SMS-based 2FA by replying STOP and switching to an authenticator app.

For PHI Delivery Messages:

• Any individual receiving an SMS from Anescribe may reply STOP to prevent all future SMS from any Anescribe user.
• They may reply HELP to receive contact support information.

No Third-Party Sharing

Anescribe does not sell or share phone numbers with third parties for marketing.

Access to phone numbers is limited to:

• The authenticated Anescribe user who entered the number.
• Support staff under strict confidentiality and HIPAA-compliance obligations.

Data Security

• All mobile numbers are stored using industry-standard encryption.
• SMS delivery is performed via HIPAA-compliant infrastructure.
• Access to recipient numbers is limited to the user who entered the contact unless required by law.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
